Bring your knife back to life with a spa day

During a basic spa day, I'll disassemble your knife, thoroughly clean, sharpen, and perform any adjustments if necessary. Then I'll apply fresh lubricant, Loctite, and reassemble it, and send it back your way. Additional services are available. Please check out the menu below for details and pricing. Basic spa day ~ $50

  • complete disassembly and ultrasonic cleaning
  • re-lubrication
  • sharpening/stropping (very small chips may be repaired simply with sharpening. Larger chips may require re-profiling of the blade)
  • small repairs/adjustments such as detent adjustment, lock face carbidizing, pocket clip bounce, centering, or any other warranty-related thing I see

Refinishing plain titanium ~ $50

  • Zirblast
  • stone washing 
  • anodizing

Includes all plain titanium pieces including both scales, pocket clip, and back spacer. 

Re-polish and re-color Zircuti/timascus/zirconium etc...

  • $50 each for pocket clip or backspacer
  • $100 per scale for full dress
  • Note: deep scratches may not be able to be polished out completely, but will be less noticeable when re-colored.

Re-sand and etch damascus ~ $200

  • Re-etching damascus is usually not as vibrant as the initial etch.

Blade re-profiling ~ $50

  • To repair larger chips or a broken tip when simple sharpening is insufficient to get rid of them

Scratch removal on belt satin blades ~ $75

  • Requires a re-grind

Correcting excess thread locker ~ $25

  • Plus cost of any replacement hardware needed

titanium 2-56 screws

  • $2 each for plain
  • $3 each for anodized

Pivot sets

  • $15 - $50 depending on the pivot
  • Inlayed or special pivots will need to be quoted individually

Replacement metal COA cards ~ $20

  • I will only replace COA cards during spa days so I can verify authenticity.

Some notes on spa days

  • I can handle a certain number of these per month in general. Certain times of year bring lots of spa day requests, so depending on how many I get at once I may have to implement a wait list during those times. 

  • Spa days are for custom knives only, and one knife per request please.

  • Spa days are separate from warranty claims. If you believe you have a warranty issue, email us at info@sparrowknifeco.com and we will get you taken care of right away.

  • The intent of offering these spa days is to bring the knife back to its original glory. As I am continually updating and improving my processes over time, big changes like a re-blade, switching materials, changing milling patterns, etc. become borderline impossible or would cost so much time that the rest of the shop would have to come to a halt. For this reason, I aim to keep spa days limited to the services I've outlined on this page. Thanks for understanding.
